Dear host family,
Hello! My name is Carine Chevalier, I am 22 years old. My family and me live in Aubusson in France center. I have a little brother, Remi who is 20 years old, he is a firefighter, and a little sister, Floriane, 16 years old, and she is in college. My father is a policeman, and my mother deals with old people in an old people's home. I am really very close to my family, we have two cats, Luna and Simba.
One of the reasons which make that I have decided to be an au pair girl in the United States, it is that I like children, to look after them is a true happiness. I have worked much with children. My mother has been a nanny, I am used to take care of them. I like to look after them, to go to the cinema together, to the beach, to go for a walk, or in the parks. I also like to help them to make their homework's and to recite their lessons.
I've started to keep children from neighbours at 12 years old. I've continued so far. I've worked during 4 years with the same family, at the beginning, I kept their son; Antoine-François, and after, I kept his little brother Pierre, when he is two months old. I've seen them grow up and open out, I like to learn them many things, like such as songs, or to tell them some fairy tales, to answer their questions when they ask me about the life. I have to reassure them when they cried because their parents are missing, and I believe that my imagination helps me much! I make them draw, or we plays, inside or full air following climate.
After, with my parents, we have left Corsica to live in the Caribbean for four years, in Martinique. During this period, I've kept children from our neighbours when they needed, when they went to the restaurant, cinema, or when they went a week end with friends.
In 2005, we came back in France, and since I keep from time to time Germain, an adorable little boy, I pick up him from school, and I make him recite his lessons.
I have an arts-oriented baccalaureat, and I made studies of data processing. Later, after my experiment as an au pair girl , and after my studies in university, I would like to be a history's professor. I am a first-aid worker thanks to a formation that I've carried with the firefighters. I am a good swimmer and I've practised the judo on high level.
I know that to be au pair girl in the United States, will be the greatest experiment of all my life. That will make me able to improve my English level, while doing what I like, that is, take care of babies, children, and in some sorts, to be an older sister.
I am really impatient to know your children and to share with them many adventures.
